A year in fiber!

  • Nash Yarn Fest — March 14 & 15, 2025.
    This is a new show in Nashville. It has workshops with Arne & Carlos and a market.
     

  • Carolina Fiber Fest — March 14 & 15, 2025, NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.
    This is a traditional fiber festival with a market and workshops.
     

  • Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival - May 3 & 4, 2025
    Howard County Fairgrounds, 2210 Fairgrounds Road, West Friendship, MD 21794-9604.
     

  • The Knitting Guild Association - Next Level Knitting Conference - April 4-6, 2025
    VIRTUAL
     

  • YarnCon - April 5 & 6, 2025
    Plumbers Union Hall, 1350 W Washington Blvd, Chicago, IL 60607
     

  • Georgia National Fair - October 2-12, 2025, 401 Larry Walker Pkwy, Perry, GA 31069-1367
    This is a traditional fair. It has a home arts and fine arts section including ribbons awarded for excellence in knitting.
     

  • New York State Sheep and Wool Festival - October 19-20, 2025
    Dutchess County Fairgrounds 6550 Spring Brook Ave. Rhinebeck, NY 12572
     

  • Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair - October 24-26, 2025.
    Western North Carolina Agricultural Center, 761 Boylston Hwy-GATE 7, Fletcher NC 28732
    This is our big regional festival. If there is anything fiber arts related you need, this is the place to find it! There are lots of regional vendors and small businesses that appreciate the support. The 2024 show was canceled in the wake of Hurricane Helene.
     

  • Kanuga Knitting and Quilting Retreat — 2026 TBD, Hendersonville, NC.
    This is a retreat at an Episcopalian campground on a lake. Registration includes classes, lodging, and food.
     

  • Knitting History Forum Conference 2025 — 2026 TBD, virtual. Cost is £27. This academic conference is organized out of the United Kingdom. This year’s presentation topics include Bohus Stickning, 16th century knitted caps, knitting in 19th century China, and crochet technology from the 1840s, among other topics.
