A special thank you to Natalie and Swaantje for presenting on crochet tips for knitters. They asked us to share the following reminders:

  • Cast on & bind off loosely, so the hook can enter those stitches more easily

  • Knit your item with a chain selvedge edge, either by slipping the first stitch or last stitch, or whatever your favorite method

  • Use a hook 1-2 sizes larger than the needle size

  • For a contrast color border, do the first row/round in the main color, to help hide the stitch size difference between knit & crochet stitches

  • In corners do 2-3 stitches additional stitches into the corner stitch so the item will remain flat, otherwise, it will cup in like a bowl

  • Do not be afraid to rip back as there is only one live stitch

  • Stitch markers must be removeable
