Future Programs

November 5 - Zoom & In-Person at the DUMC.  Shaina Bilow will join us via Zoom to teach us different seaming methods. This will be hands-on; prework will be provided in October.

December 3 - In-Person only at the DUMC. Join us for Shop Night and a Holiday pot luck. We are not doing a gift swap this year, to allow us more time to shop, knit, eat, and socialize.

There are many programs and workshops in the planning phase. Here’s a few!

  • The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. Reminiscing and learning from knitting disasters.

In September, I added some buttons on one of our member-only pages.

On your subscriptions page, which shows you the start dates of your AKG membership, I’ve added two buttons, one to take you to the membership page (so you can join or renew) and one that takes you to our meetings. I hope these help you navigate the site easier!

Knit-a-long (KAL)

Corrie & Kathy

Join us the third Wednesday of each month for our KAL! We are a great group of regular attendees and those who join when they can. We can promise an entertaining and always encouraging hour. We choose patterns or techniques to focus on for each project together, Find our group on the AKG calendar--RSVP for the Zoom link--and also we maintain an active presence on Facebook under "AKG KAL"

September started a new KAL. This time, we’re each selecting a design by Eleanor Mortensen.  She has 52 posted on Ravelry, from hats to sweaters; most have simple stranded colorwork that looks complex.  Not interested in these designs? Then pick what you like - always knit what brings pleasure - and join for the conversation!

A Member Directory is Coming!!!

We are building a membership directory to help members create neighborhood knitting groups and carpools to monthly meetings.  Elizabeth will be reaching out to confirm address and phone numbers if they are not already part of your member profile.

Editing your online member profile is easy!

Once there, you can select ‘edit profile’.

Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and edit your profile’s privacy setting. Please make your profile ‘public’ (‘public’ is limited to AKG members).

The online members directory is only viewable by members when they are logged in, so the ‘public’ setting really means ‘for members’. If you keep your profile private other AKG folks cannot see you when they access the online directory.
